Request for Proposal Guidelines
The Sylvia and Martin Snow Family Fund is a Donor Advised Fund of the Pittsburgh Foundation based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and facilitated by the family of the late Sylvia and Martin Snow. Of major interest to the SMSFF are agencies in Pittsburgh that have strong links to the Pittsburgh Jewish and/or general community.
Application Procedures for the Grant Cycle
Not for profit organizations may submit one proposal electronically with requested attachments to the SMSFF Program Officer.
- Grants will be considered on a one-time basis. Grant proposals should be submitted between March 25-27. Site visits are encouraged for first-time applicants and may be requested by the SMSFF for any applicant seeking funding.
- Proposals must be submitted electronically via 'word' to the Program Officer.
- Awards will be announced at the end of April.
Proposals Must Include the Following
- Cover sheet, which must include (1) organization name, (2) address and phone (3) contact name and position, (4) e-mail, (5) board chair/president, (6) executive director/ chief staff officer, (7) organization's annual budget totals only, (8) request total project budget.
- IRS 501(c) (3) tax exemption letter. Submit if first time applicant only.
- Letter signed by your volunteer elected Board President authorizing the organization to submit this grant request.
- List of Board and officers.
- The proposal should clearly explain the proposed program, agency mission and history and be no longer than 3 pages.
- The program budget electronic copy only.
- A short form of the agency budget, first time applicants only.
