Success Stories

The Sylvia & Martin Snow Family Fund has been fortunate to be a part of the lives of so many wonderful people and organizations.


SMSFF has funded more than 50 various agencies in Pittsburgh, Atlanta, State College, New York, Israel, and a host of other locations.


Diverse programs and service areas are currently represented by organizations in the following sectors:

Service to Adults With Stress Related Problems

Agencies that provide opportunities to enhance vocational skills, social support, and community resources are of great interest.

Services to Children, Youth and Families

We believe that in addition to a sound education, young children need exercise and play with creative expression opportunities.


Grants to Schools have helped produce indoor and outdoor recreation facilities and creative approaches to the performing arts.


Youth activities prosper in a wholesome atmosphere where social and leadership skills can be developed. Such areas have been funded at various youth serving agencies, camps and special interests programs.

Service to the Disadvantaged

The stress of today's economic downturn is enormous. Funding the needs of the homeless with emergency shelter, drop in center, compassionate care, food pantries, and energy assistance are priorities.

Service to College Students

Funding college-age youth is an essential component of our growing city. Finding energetic programs that assist students who will be given the opportunity to attend a variety of higher education options is important.

Service to Children and Adult Education

Through the use of formal and informal education, opportunities for a variety of classes, seminars and experiential learning is seen as essential for the recreational and leisure time activities. Utilizing adults to work with children and teens and adults as mentors is also of high value. Programs that offer Judaic knowledge and creative ideas are important.
